Hoops for Hunger - Recently, CPBOA officials volunteered their officiating services in support of the 6th Annual Hoops for Hunger sponsored by Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. The officials assisted the event in raising almost $13,000 and 900 lbs. of food. All proceeds benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (www.centralpafoodbank.org). | Tour of Duty -
Mike Hancock, a current member of the Central PA Basketball Officials Association, will deploy with the Army National Guard for a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Mike will attend two months of training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana before deploying to Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan until
October 2008. We wish Mike Godspeed in his mission. |
